Lifestyle Support

I am passionate about helping my counselling clients to reflect on and understand the impact that lifestyle, food and exercise have on mood. I am keen to support clients to gain valuable insights into the importance of a healthy lifestyle for reducing the challenging symptoms of mental health conditions, particularly anxiety and depression. Research has shown that there is a link between what we eat, how much we move and how we feel. Being mindful about what we fuel our bodies and brains with, regular exercise and staying hydrated, can contribute to more positive mood, increased energy and overall functioning. 

 

I previously worked for Mind (the mental health charity) and designed and delivered sessions in secondary schools, colleges and workplaces based on lifestyle & mental health + food and mood. I am currently undertaking a Diploma in Nutritional Advice (equivalent of NVQ level 4, 600 hours) accredited by the FNTP.

 

If I feel you could benefit from more in-depth support alongside counselling, I can refer you onto practitioners offering nutritional therapy, functional medicine or naturopathy.

I see clients in-person in Devon near Chudleigh & in Ashburton. I also work with clients online.
