Nutritional Support

I am passionate about helping my counselling clients to understand the impact that food has on mood and supporting people to gain valuable insights into the importance of a healthy lifestyle for alleviating symptoms of mental health conditions, particularly anxiety and depression. Research has shown that there is a link between what we eat and how we feel. Being mindful about what we fuel our bodies and brains with, regular exercise and staying hydrated, can significantly reduce symptoms of mental health conditions, and contribute to more positive mood, increased energy and overall functioning. 

 

I previously worked for Mind the mental health charity, to design and deliver sessions in secondary schools and colleges around the link between food and mood. I am currently undertaking a Nutrition training at The School of Health and Homeopathy, in Stroud, to gain a Nutrition qualification and deepen my knowledge in this area.
